DVD Studio Pro Late Breaking News

Last week Apple released DVD Studio Pro 4.0.3. The minor point change belies the significance of the update, which brings full compliance with the HD DVD Video Specification version 1.0*. This is a good thing. However, it also means that HD projects authored with previous versions of DVDSP need to be “rebuilt” with the updated software to conform to the new standard and be compatible with compliant HD DVD players. In and of itself, it’s not major chore to open your projects and select Build from the File menu, but it is now a mandatory step for all those early projects if you want them to work as intended.
