Apple have a new KB document, “Soundtrack Pro: Setting the correct clock source for your audio interface”, which provides step-by-step instructions to ensure that your system is configured record audio correctly. The trick is to use the Audio/MIDI Setup application and use the “Clock Source” setting that’s appropriate for your device.
