Blast

Wednesday’s FCP SuperMeet at NAB was a lot of fun and boasted an impressive who’s who of the Final Cut community. I managed to catch-up with a number of folks and tease Martin Baker, my companion for much of the evening, about his missing podcast!

I said a quick hello to Larry Jordan and his team who were there to announce the schedule for his Fall tour - he’ll be in Vancouver 5 & 6 October.

On stage representatives from Apple gave an overview of the new FCS, Red made an appearance, and Walter Murch talked about the digital workflow on Francis Ford Coppola’s upcoming Youth Without Youth.

True to form the “world famous” raffle did go on for a while, but was good value, with lots of prizes and awards for the most enthusiastic winners!

The event was recorded for posterity, so hopefully it will be available on DVD sometime soon.
