Fellow Travellers

Earlier this week I had a great visit with a couple of the folks at the New Technology Institute in Birmingham. They’ve been offering Apple Certified Training for 6 months and by all accounts are very successful at it. Their brand new space is very impressive and is intended to carry through the Apple brand in much the same way the Apple Stores do. The labs are light, comfortable, and spacious.

During our meeting we talked about the increasing currency of Apple Pro certification and industry interest, as well as how we manage our respective programs. I was very interested in a number of their strategies, particularly the packages they offer, which enable you receive a discount when you combine courses.

As those of you who know me or read this blog regularly are aware, I’m very committed to developing a premiere Pro Apps training facility at Emily Carr Institute as I believe we have a lot to contribute to the community. If any of you have suggestions — like bundling courses, or working with people like Larry Jordan — please feel free to contact me with your suggestions.
