MacBook SMC Firmware 1.1

Following all the chatter about the random MacBook shutdown problem some early adopters have been experiencing, Apple have released a potential fix. The firmware update is recommended for all MacBook systems, including those that have been repaired under warranty and is available via Software Update or direct download*.

*If you choose to download and install the update manually you should take a moment to read the instructions as you may be required to update Mac OS X first.
