If you’ve recently invested in a new high-end desktop system, you may find the new KB document, “Final Cut Pro’s performance benefits from symmetrical RAM configurations on Mac Pro” a useful read. Whilst we read yesterday that FCP isn’t currently able address more than 2.5GB of RAM, you can optimise performance by installing RAM evenly in matched pairs across the two internal risers.
