Better

Having spent most of yesterday ambling around in the dazed state that only occurs when you’ve spent the night stranded at an airport, today I unpacked my new 15-inch MacBook Pro, transferred my user account and set about installing software.

Thus far it’s proving to be a zippy little fellow—a huge difference from my beleaguered 1st generation 17-inch Powerbook. I must say, I do like the size. I’ve been concerned that I’d miss the large screen, but with the increased resolution of the 15-inch now at 1440 x 900 pixels, it’s not a problem and the loss is far outweighed by the gain in portability. I’ve also been enjoying Motion recently and it’s nice to be able to run the app at home finally. I plan to upgrade the RAM this week and I have my eye on a couple of upgrades from Timbuk2 too!

UPDATE 04 May 2006: RAM bought and bag shipping.
