Misdirected

A new KB article, “Final Cut Pro: Send To Motion evokes QuickTime Player instead of Motion” describes a curious circumstance in which you may experience your .motn project files opening in the wrong application. The problem occurs if you have modified your External Editor settings to explicitly instruct FCP to open video files in QuickTime Player. According to the document, clearing those setting should correct the situation, as without a designated setting FCP defaults to the application Mac OS X uses to handle each type of file.
