2007-001

I thought the end of 2006 was busy, but 2007 has me in a whirl already! That said, I’m very late in posting this, but Apple released Security Update 2007-001 towards the end of last month. This is a very important update as it fixes a vulnerability in QuickTime that was first identified by the Month of Apple Bugs project.

Both Mac OS X and Windows versions of QuickTime need to be updated. Mac users can download via Software Update or directly from the Apple web site.* Windows users should follow the step-by-step instructions included in the Security Update 2007-001 KB document to make sure they are protected.

*If you’re downloading directly, you should take note that there are “Universal” and “Panther” flavours.
