The Media Grads from Emily Carr Institute will be showcasing their work at the VIFC on Friday and Saturday. The program called, “Tasty Flicks” will be different each night and features an eclectic mix of work, including drama, documentary, experimental, and visual effects.

Amongst the films on show, you’ll be able to see Joel Furtado’s 3D animation, Tree for Two, which just won first prize in this year’s Electronic Arts Reveal competition, as well as the 2D animation, Pinch by Jody Kramer and the documentary short, kaka’win by Leah Nelson, both of which have just been accepted into the Toronto International Film Festival Student Film Showcase.

Tickets are $10 each night, or $17 if you buy a ticket for each show. They’ll be available at the door, or you can purchase them online now through the VIFC, or at Videomatica and Black Dog Video.

If you’re the adventurous type, want to support local work—much of which utilised FCP—would like to meet the grad who high-fived Walter Murch (Felix Cheng, you know who you are…), or just want to see what I get up to during the day, it will all be happening at Tasty Flicks this weekend.
