We’ve been talking behind-the-scenes at VFCPUG about ways we might attract Larry Jordan across the border. This week Larry took matters into his own hands by announcing a date in Vancouver for his fall tour, “Pushing the Limits —Power Up with Final Cut Studio!”. Larry will be presenting at Emily Carr Institute, 3rd and 4th November. The first session, “Supercharge Your Editing with Final Cut” involves an overview of FCP, editing techniques, and “power tips”. Session 2, “The High-End of Final Cut Studio”, is more focused towards advanced users “who want to smooth their transition to HD”, as well as increase their knowledge and experience of the FCS applications. Larry has also offered to meet VFCPUG members at a special meeting on 2nd, so mark that in your calendars now!

Bloody hell, this year seems to be quite the year for Vancouver, and I won’t be around. But hopefully it keeps us in a more permanent loop for being a hub point for presentations and visits. If this will be a VFCPUG event, any chance it may be recorded? Then perhaps a video online or sell DVDs or something of the sort?
