Masterful
It’s always a joy to see someone talk about a topic of which they have the most profound understanding and Larry Jordan’s enthusiasm for FCP is even more infectious in person. At last night’s VFCPUG meeting he regaled the assembled crowd with a detailed overview of colour correction in FCP 5.1.2. Most of the concepts hold true for other versions of the application, but the real-time performance and all pixel setting for the new scopes enhance the experience.
Judging by the number of folks who signed up for the weekend seminars then and there, I was not the only one who was impressed by Larry’s presentation. I believe the next couple of days will be really interesting and if you’re still on the fence about attending you should check your schedule and your pocket book! Remember if you use the VFCPUG code when you register you’ll receive a 10% discount.
For those of you wanting to learn more and get some hands-on experience working with colour correction tools in Final Cut Pro, I’ll be teaching a new Apple Certified course at Emily Carr next month, “Advanced Color & Finishing in Final Cut Pro 5”.*
*You need to have passed the FCP Level 1 exam to take this course. There are a couple of opportunities to take it before the class. There’s also a FCP 200 course between now and then that will help prepare you for the Level 1 exam.
