The Film and Television Expo is coming to town next week. Offering a series of seminars, panel discussions, demonstrations, and materclass sessions, in addition to a significant trade show, FTX WEST 2006 takes place 12-15 October.
The conference includes sections for filmmakers, screenwriters and producers. There’s also the Great Canadian PitchFest, which provides an opportunity for “people with ideas and shows to sell meet with film and television executives”.
The trade show will feature exhibits from a range of companies, both local and international, including Apple, Sony, Panasonic, Canon, AJA, ANNEX|PRO, Precision Camera, and VidCom.
ANNEX|PRO are sponsoring two free seminars, “Apple Shake for Final Cut Pro Editors” (Screening Room, 2pm Friday 13 October) and “Colour Correction for Final Cut Pro Editors with FinalTouch HD” (Screening Room, 3pm Saturday 14 October). They’re also offering free exhibit passes to anyone who pre-registers and contacts Joyelle in their office.
