apts_mgandfx.jpgBe amongst the first to take the new Apple Certified FCS 101: Motion Graphics and Effects in Final Cut Studio course! I’ve just successfully completed the trainer certification exam and plan to offer the course after the upcoming FCP 200: A Comprehensive Study of Final Cut Pro course at Emily Carr Institute in July.

As the title suggests this new course is aimed at those who want to develop their motion graphics and visual effects skills with the tools available in Final Cut Studio 2. The curriculum in the course is based on the new book, Apple Pro Training Series: Motion Graphics and Effects in Final Cut Studio 2 by the Jem Schofield and Mark Spencer, gentlemen and scholars both! The range of tools covered in the book is incredible, with exercises that encompass FCP, Motion, LiveType, Boris Title Effects and DVD Studio Pro.

The course fee is currently CDN$1075 + GST, which includes both the book and the corresponding Apple Certification Exam — Final Cut Studio Level 1 Certification can be credited towards the new Final Cut Studio Master Certification, which is intended “to recognize an individual’s skills with the entire Final Cut Studio product suite”.

Course dates are 26-28 July 2007 and registration is currently open.
