To support the adoption of Final Cut Studio 2, Emily Carr Institute is offering a revised roster of Apple Certified courses and certification exams. The Final Cut Pro courses (FCP 101, FCP 200 and FCP 300) have all been updated to reflect changes in FCP 6. There are also new courses for Motion 3, Soundtrack Pro 2 and DVD Studio Pro. The line-up of Logic courses is expanding from Level 1 to include the advanced Level 2 course. For the first time Emily Carr Institute is offering a brand new Final Cut Studio 101 certification course, which covers the various motion graphics and effects tools found across the Final Cut Studio Suite (FCP, Motion, LiveType, Boris).

The new Apple Final Cut Studio Master Certification recognizes the skills of qualified individuals with the entire Final Cut Studio product suite. Since workflow is such a significant component of Final Cut Studio, the curriculum is set up so that you need certification in several applications to earn Master Certification.

• Final Cut Pro 6 Level 1
• Final Cut Pro 6 Level 2 or Color Level 1
• Motion 3 Level 1 or Final Cut Studio 2 Motion Graphics Level 1
• DVD Studio Pro 4 Level 1
• Soundtrack Pro 2 Level 1

(You can register to take any of the Level 1 exams at Emily Carr Institute—as they become available. Level 2 exams can only be taken in conjunction with an Advanced class.)
