Those of you who have had conversations with me about this in the last little while will have experienced my enthusiasm about the fall schedule and our plans for Apple Pro Training at Emily Carr Institute.

With Luis Giraldo (Logic), Chad Meire (Shake), Christine Stewart (Final Cut Pro), and myself (Final Cut Pro—Levels 1, 2, and 3, Motion, Soundtrack Pro, and DVD Studio Pro), we now have a well-rounded team of Apple Certified Trainers, and are in a position to offer a more comprehensive roster of certification courses.

Amongst the new courses we’re offering for the first time are, “An Overview of Final Cut Pro 5”, “Advanced Editing Techniques in Final Cut Pro 5”*, “Advanced Color & Finishing in Final Cut Pro 5”, and “A Comprehensive Study of Shake 4”.

This semester, to complement each course, we’re also introducing free “Apple Bite” sessions. These 2 hour events will give you an opportunity to learn more about Apple Pro Training and meet the trainers before you enrol in full course. The first Apple Bite is for Final Cut Pro at 7pm a week on Monday (11 September).

There are also new ways to save on Apple Certified Training courses. VFCPUG members who contact me directly will receive a 10% discount on individual courses and if you take 3 classes in a single semester you’ll automatically receive a 15% discount on all of the courses.**
