If you feel that you have got a solid grasp of the fundamentals in FCP, then you may want to consider the new “Advanced Techniques in Final Cut Pro 6”, especially if you aspire to achieve the Final Cut Studio Master Certification. Emily Carr Institute is offering this 3-day class next week and there are still spaces available.

The course costs $1075 + GST and includes Michael Wohl’s completely revised “FCP 6 Beyond the Basics” textbook and the corresponding FCP 6 Level 2 exam. The course covers a range of topics, from advanced trimming, to sound editing and mixing, advanced effects, colour correction and media management.

To register you need to be Apple Certified FCP 6 Level 1 — there’s an exam scheduled the coming Friday, so you still have time to qualify.
